Our Research

Kitabistan is a research center that conducts research on successful educational, social, and economic development models around the world, as well as on human values such as gender equality, rule of law, and human rights, among other social issues in Azerbaijan. The center shares the findings of these studies with the general public in Azerbaijan, as well as with foreign countries' representatives and international organizations working on these areas.

The purpose of research is to show models that lead to positive developments and societal change, while also offering solutions to various problems.

The research on gender based inequality and discrimination in Azerbaijan

Gender equality is one of the main issues that developed countries are trying to solve and have largely succeeded in solving. In Azerbaijan, we often face the challenge of gender discrimination. Oftentime women are subjected to gender discrimination in the workplace and educational institution. Kitabistan has prepared an anonymous survey about the issues that gender discrimination and gender inequality can cause and how people value and understand gender equality. Reading habits and choices of Azerbaijani readers

This survey aims to determine the reading habits and preferences of Azerbaijani readers. We are trying to comprehensively understand the reading landscape of Azerbaijan by examining the factors influencing book selection, reading intervals and attitude towards reading.
