GENDER KITABISTAN
Gender disparities continue to persist in all societies. Women encounter obstacles in obtaining good employment and experience occupational segregation and discrepancies in wages based on gender. In numerous instances, they are deprived of opportunities for primary education and healthcare and are targets of violence and prejudice. They are not adequately represented in political and economic decision-making procedures. Additionally, early marriage and the exclusion of girls from education are increasing. Increasing women's leadership roles and investments in gender equality are crucial at national, regional, and global levels.
Through the "Gender Kitabistan" initiative, we aim to contribute to the elimination of discrimination against women, empower women, increase their participation in social life and the decision-making process, and educate them.

The research on gender based inequality and discrimination in Azerbaijan
Gender equality is one of the main issues that developed countries are trying to solve and have largely succeeded in solving. In Azerbaijan, we often face the challenge of gender discrimination. Oftentime women are subjected to gender discrimination in the workplace and educational institution. Kitabistan has prepared an anonymous survey about the issues that gender discrimination and gender inequality can cause and how people value and understand gender equality. You can share your thoughts with us by participating in the survey.
