Watch the Swiss Gerhard Schwarz & Karen Horn (Kitabıstan) What is the common thread that has bound the Swiss people together peacefully for centuries despite having four national languages? What is the reason behind Switzerland's continued economic prosperity after the Second World War? And how does the country manage to balance tradition and innovation? "Watch the Swiss" presents a fresh take on Switzerland by addressing these and other various questions through a distinctive approach. The book features well-known figures from politics, business, culture, and other fields, who share their unique perspectives on Switzerland. Each article is authored by experts who are not Swiss nationals but worked in Switzerland and know this country very well.

We are sure that this book, published in English in 2015 by Swiss think-tank Avenir-Suisse, will create an opportunity to get to know Switzerland more easily. Didier Burkhalter, a member of the Swiss Federal Assembly (2009-2017), and head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (2012-2017) wrote the foreword of the book.

The foreword of the Azerbaijani version of the book was written by Philipp Stalder, the former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkmenistan.
