The co-founder of Kitabistan delivered a speech in Brussels
Malak Hajiyeva, the co-founder of Kitabistan delivered a speech at the Second International Conference of the Women's Platform on Agenda Setting, organized within the framework of the EU-funded project EU4Dialogue: Supporting Understanding Between Conflict Parties.
Between April 15-19, over 50 women from the South Caucasus and Moldova gathered at the conference held in Brussels. Women from various fields, such as civil society activists, academics, environmental experts discussed the issues of intergenerational cooperation, gender action plans, women, peace, security, as well as environmental security etc. in small groups.
During the conference, Malak Hajiyeva presented the research on digital security of women in Moldova and the South Caucasus. She also gave a presentation on this topic and took part in meetings at the UN Brussels office, as well as with representatives of the European Union.
In her statement regarding the conference, M. Hajiyeva discussed her research: "I am currently researching the problems that women encounter in the virtual world and how to overcome them. I believe that it is crucial to raise awareness among women about the virtual world, and this is a key focus of my research. I hope that this work will continue to make a positive impact."
The EU4Dialogue project aims to unite women from the South Caucasus and Moldova for dialogue and cooperation.
