Secretary General of the IPA gives a conference at Kitabistan Talks

The next guest of "KITABISTAN TALKS" is Jose Borghino, Secretary General of the International Publishers Association.
 

On May 5th, at 5:30 PM, a Talks event "Freedom to Publish and Censorship" will be held at the Nizami Cinema Center featuring Jose Borghino, the Secretary General of the International Publishers Association.

The Secretary General of the International Association of Publishers, which was established in 1896, is coming to Azerbaijan for the first time.
 

The International Publishers Association (IPA), based in Geneva, Switzerland, is the world’s largest federation of national and regional publishers’ associations, as well as the world's most influential organization on book and printing issues. Through its members, IPA represents thousands of individual publishers around the world who service more than 5.6 billion people.
 

In addition to working in the field of protection of copyright and freedom to publish, the association has an official consultative status in the UN, the World Intellectual Property Organization, UNESCO, the Universal Postal Union and many other international organizations.
 

Jose has been secretary General of the International Publishers Association, Geneva, since September 2015. He joined the IPA as Policy Director in 2013, and was in charge of policy development, and organizer of the Educational Publishers Forum. Prior to that, he held various positions at the Australian Publishers Association and the Literature Board of the Australia Council, and was the Executive Director of the Australian Society of Authors. J. Borghino was a lecturer in literary journalism and creative industries at the University of Sydney. He gives conferences in many countries of the world to share international experiences on issues such as freedom to publish, printing, and copyright.
